Last night was one of those rare nights. I joined the SMWS tasting panel led by the honorable Charles McLean. What a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He exudes an Aura of Respectability :) Breaking down the tasting experience further and further is a personal challenge for me and to be guided by someone of Mr. McLean's is a life changing experience. We tasted 6 barrels - can't tell you which and how and what, trust me they were all beautiful: chocolate, marzipan, veal, rosemary, we had an entire meal here! I hope the 2 casks I like will be of the chosen one.... Slainte!

Was invited to speak and lead @buffalotrace premium tasting for an intimate 50th birthday celebration. This is one of my favorite lineups that I learned directly from the remarkable @elad_jt - we tasted #blantons #ehtaylorsmallbatch #elmertlee and #wellerantique107 this is the sweetest most delicious bourbon lineup and I’m very proud to having had the opportunity to lead this.

My dad was big on alcohol, food and life. When he passed I felt close to him drinking a little bit of Macallen or Glenmorangie. I inherited his love of whiskey and it stayed with me. Last week we celebrated the first Whiskey Club 🥃 meetup - branding queen Tani Zipper made the logo and invite, check it out - which was a beautiful evening rich in knowledge, stories, learning and socializing with people who enjoy the Water of Life. Big hugs to all those who came, it was phenomenal. All my love to Elad, Tani, Igor and Ohad for making this Club happen. I am blessed to have met you.

Last week I witnessed #Americansinglemalt with chocolate flavors and a tropical aftertaste. What a delight. Lovely @devin_nyc from @westlandwhiskey invited me to an American single malt evening in Soho. The event was extremely intimate and included two additional distilleries 😍 Ithe group guests were women from #womenwhowhiskey NY club. Well. I tasted 3 delicious flavors! 1. #Westland 3240 #SingleCask Barrel Pick 60.2% by Charlie from drammers. Excellent choice! Just two weeks ago I looked glassy-eyed at the bottle of Westland Doc poured for a tasting at the HobokenWhiskeyClub knowing that it was the last peated bottle, because Westland are done with Scotland Peat, well! This bottle was just awesome. 2. @westerwoodwhisky #caskstrength 62.5% Excuse me!! Someone bring a fire department this is hot !!I tropical notes and fruitiness! 'What is it?? How can this possibly cone from oak?!’ I aak, and reply comes quickly… ‘Well… the fruity taste comes from our fermentation process which uses a string yeast called Chico to bring out the fruity aroma, we ferment twice’ That's what Drew, the brand's sales manager, told me. 3. @vadistillery Cuvee Cask 59.2% an interesting story emerged here as well 😍 That was tasty! Then someone drew my attention to another expression that I must taste. 46%... of chocolate flavor. How did you get chocolate out of American oak? Chafing process is the answer according to Amanda the Master Blender. What did we have here? Two American single malts one fruit A chocolate one And two process to drive that.
