The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the South Florida Water Management District, and impacted utilities collaborated to create and pass unique legislation in 2008 to mitigate #wastewaterpollution and provide fresh water to its growing population. The legislation also includes a timeline to eliminate outfalls entirely by 2025.
