Health care affordability is a growing challenge for Utahns and employers statewide. Regence recently convened a panel of nationally and locally recognized experts to discuss cost trend data and share perspectives on potential solutions. The consensus: It’s going to take advocacy, public policy and dedicated efforts at business, state, community, and individual levels to disrupt the trend of increasing health care costs in Utah. Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, older adults are saving money, and more benefits are coming in 2025. Its health care components aim to address rising Medicare costs, especially for medications.
