For the first time, Reid Health has earned Level 9 recognition in the acute and ambulatory categories of the annual Digital Health Most Wired program from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). The survey and recognition program serves as a “Digital Health Check-up” for healthcare organizations. Participants are graded on a scale of 1-10. According to CHIME, those in Level 9 are often leaders in healthcare technology that push the industry forward, seeing improved quality of care, improved patient experience, reduced costs, and broader patient access to services. “As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, the integration of advanced technologies – particularly artificial intelligence – will be a game changer, empowering us to deliver more personalized, efficient, and predictive care,” said Muhammad Siddiqui, Vice President/Chief Information Officer for Reid Health. Healthgrades also recognized us with Excellence Awards for stroke care (third year in a row) and critical care (second), putting us in the top 10% across the country for those treatments. Reid Health ENT has completed its 50th Inspire procedure. Inspire is an FDA-approved obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) treatment option for people who cannot use Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy. Some 22 million Americans have OSA. When left untreated, it doesn’t just affect one person, but also those around them. OSA can cause vehicle and workplace accidents, worsening mood and memory, stroke, heart attack, and other serious issues. Community partners are better equipped to talk with kids about the importance of distraction and the potential it has to cause car crashes following a training held Oct. 9. The Impact Teen Drivers Train the Trainer program focused on data-backed programming to teach youth at local elementary and high schools or events to prevent distracted driving in teens. During the program, instruction was provided for partners in law enforcement, fire and rescue, healthcare, and education along with Reid Community Health and Reid Trauma and Injury Prevention. Details are available at https://lnkd.in/gezF8JAh. The training and all the materials needed to offer the program were free thanks to the generous funding by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute and event support from Reid Health Community Benefit. For more information, questions about distracted driving, or offering the training for a school or event, contact Reid Community Health at Community.Health@ReidHealth.org.

The Community Spotlight guest for both events is Roxie Deer, founder of the Deer Family Fund, to talk about their support for breast cancer awareness and prevention initiatives.
