Last week our Executive Director participated in the Wisconsin Farmers Union "Investing in Rural Wisconsin" event in Chippewa Falls! This event highlighted a slew of federal investments made by the USDA , U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and other federal agencies in rural #Wisconsin. The White House Domestic Policy Advisor Neera Tanden and Andy Berke , Administrator with the USDA Rural Utilities Service announced Powering Affordable Clean Energy Program (PACE) award for the Stag Moose solar projects serving Dairyland Power Cooperative members. The Stag Moose portfolio of projects will be designed and developed by Member Contractor OneEnergy Renewables, providing responsible, reliable, renewable energy to rural customers in Wisconsin for decades to come. SolarShare Wisconsin Cooperative Executive Director Cory Neeley led off a panel of six rural storytellers, speaking about the #cooperative's #energizingruralcommunities phase two award. Joining him were Brandon Clare, JMWatkins, LLC, Rodrigo Cala from Cala Farms, Scott Sacrey with Feed My People Food Bank , Don Mowry, Eau Claire County Broadband Expansion Committee and Brent Ridge, President and CEO of Dairyland Power Cooperative. Thank you to Chippewa River Distillery and Brewster Bros. Brewing Co. for hosting the event in your beautiful space in beautiful downtown Chippewa Falls. Special thanks to Julie Lassa and her team of staff from USDA Rural Development for all the work they do to support rural America. #WFU2024 #investinginruralwi #ChippewaCounty
