Do states' renewable energy policies influence their neighbors? Georgia Tech School of Public Policy researchers answered this question in a new paper. “Analysts are asking if the U.S. should have a federal renewable mandate to put the whole country on the same page, or if individual state policies are sufficient. To answer that question, it is useful to know if states with renewable energy policies are influencing those without them.” –Marilyn Brown

High school students joined Georgia Tech Strategic Energy Institute STEAM camp this summer, where they built mouse-trap cars, toured power plants, and gave presentations.

A Georgia Institute of Technology second-year developed a voice-based diagnostic tool for Parkinson’s disease with 97% accuracy. Essentially, we proved the feasibility of a telemedicine approach towards detecting PD. Through a three-second phone call, our machine-learning model recognizes patterns in data to detect Parkinson’s with a 97 percent accuracy rate.” – Anu Ayer https://lnkd.in/g6whkDDM

Could AI predict cyberattacks? Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business researchers created an AI chatbot to analyze whether social media sentiment can forecast cyberthreats. "As we move toward a world in which we'll rely more and more on communication technologies and social media, there will be an increasing number of threats.
