NEW STATEMENT from the Coalition for Emergency Response and Critical Infrastructure Chair Chief Kenneth Corey (NYPD, Ret.), regarding the AT&T data breach: “The newly disclosed data breach suffered by AT&T customers is yet more evidence that the 4.9 GHz spectrum band should remain in the hands of state and local users and not be transferred to AT&T’s network. Public safety users need and deserve security when it comes to their communications networks. The 4.9 GHz band currently provides a mechanism to ensure state and local users can protect their own networks. If they lost control of the band, that would be taken away.
