The blueprint for family recruitment

About us

This program was developed by Mike Logan who is the founder of a successful California based foster family agency. Other recruiting systems have been created based on generic marketing concepts. This program has been field tested over time and comes from the experience of an effective recruitment team and the expert knowledge of an executive director who is a foster-adoptive parent himself. Mike is a recognized leader in the field of foster care recruitment. He is engaged in the fight for better services with state legislatures and is frequently asked to teach and train in regional and national venues on the subject of effective recruitment. Retention is an often overlooked yet crucial component of successful foster care recruitment. Here's why it's essential and how you can master the art of retention: Cost efficiency, positive reputation, stability for children and the development of experience caregivers. To maser the art of retention as a recruitment strategy, we recommend: 🔘 Developing a clear retention strategy 🔘 Providing excellent support 🔘 Regularly showing appreciation 🔘 Considering a respite program 🔘 Addressing concerns 🔘 Staying connected 🔘 Creating a community Retention is not just about keeping foster parents; it's about ensuring they feel supported, valued, and motivated to continue their incredible work. #FamilyRecruitment #FosterCare #FosterFamilyRecruitment

The golden question recruiters should be asking families is: "Would you recommend us to a friend?" This simple, yet telling question will reveal all you need to know about the way foster care families feel about your agency and service, and whether or not they'd recommend your agency and refer friends and family to you. Everyone involved in foster care recruitment already knows that recommendations from existing families are significant contributors to reaching and engaging new families. In our experience, that number is right at 30%.

If your answer to this question is not a resounding YES, then the chances are: - People searching for your services and a business just like yours, are finding another business instead of yours. - Your agency is missing out on countless opportunities simply by being 'invisible' on Google. Simply focusing on your Google discoverability through SEO and Google Ads can dramatically change your agency.
