Thrilled to share our latest case study which highlights the success our innovative in-home diabetic eye exam and preventive care screening programs. Sentara Health is one of the leading health care systems in the country. Retina Labs partnered with Sentara to help bridge care gaps by delivering essential preventive health screenings directly to members in the comfort of their homes. Our in-home program offers Sentara members convenient access to a range of screenings including diabetic eye exams, HbA1c, kidney health assessments, colon cancer testing, and bone mineral density scans. The case study uncovered a notable result: approximately 32% of the members screened exhibited signs of diabetic retinopathy or other ocular disorders, underscoring the critical role of early detection. These individuals may have otherwise gone unscreened, risking potential vision loss. Our in-home screening program ensured prompt awareness and referrals to appropriate eye care providers for these members. Retina Labs and Secure Exchange Solutions are thrilled to announce this joint press release. Delivering medical test results to primary care providers is a huge pain-point in healthcare. Amazingly, fax machines and snail mail are still widely used to deliver these documents. In 2024, that’s kind of crazy. Retina Labs has partnered with Secure Exchange Solutions to instantly deliver our test results to providers through secure electronic messaging. What’s more, results get delivered right to the patient record in the provider’s EMR system. This ensures that providers get results promptly with delivery confirmation allowing them to take action when necessary to improve the health of their patients.
