We are proud to announce our newest team member, Jennie Norton, MS, RDN, CD. Jennie joined RET in October as the registered dietitian nutritionist for the Auburn, Auburn - Lakeland Hills, Lake Stevens, Meridian, Summit, and Burien clinics. She was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN and Long Beach, CA. She has followed her family and friends up the West Coast to make Washington her home state. Jennie earned her undergraduate degree in Literature from UC Santa Cruz. She has a Baking and Pastry Certificate from the Professional Culinary Institute, and she achieved her MS in Nutrition and Dietetics with completion of the Dietetic Internship at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. She serves her Washington community with a focus on nutrition support for mid-life and menopausal people. Jennie also loves having discussions about motivation and how to develop daily healthy lifestyle habits. She enjoys trail running, exploring crafting and outdoor events in the Pacific Northwest, and spending quality time with her teenage son, parents, and 3 cats. Welcome, Jennie! Congratulations to Amy Proffitt! Amy received the Denise Franklin award. This award is in honor of Denise Franklin who was a Care Coordinator at the Meridian clinic for over 10 years, while she battled breast cancer for the second time. She showed up to work every day caring more than she should and working harder than most to be there for her team and patients. Denise went into hospice in 2022 and unfortunately passed away on 12/28/22. This award is given in recognition of those who do whatever it takes to get the job done, who consistently go above and beyond, and of their personal investment, shared values and commitment to our patients, co-workers, and company.
