On 📅 7th October 2024, members of the #REVIVE project team from the Institut za poljoprivredu i turizam / Institute of Agriculture and Tourism visited the municipalities of Lupoglav and Lanišće #Croatia, both part of the pilot area where IPTPO plans to implement the project. Meetings were held with the Mayor of the Municipality of Lupoglav, the Mayor of the Municipality of Lanišće, and the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Lanišće. The discussions focused on the goals of the #REVIVE project and the upcoming activities within the project framework. These meetings provided an opportunity for better mutual understanding, as well as the exchange of ideas and experiences, all aimed at the successful implementation of the planned activities. Constant communication and understanding with key stakeholders are crucial to the success of every initiative. SWG RRD - Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development in SEE team members, met with officials from the municipalities of Rankovce and Kriva Palanka #NorthMacedonia to discuss the future activities of the #REVIVE project. These two municipalities are facing extreme depopulation, and skilled workers have out-migrated pursuing better opportunities. Rural tourism, traditional food, cultural heritage and small musical festivals are the backbone of the economy of these rural municipalities. Members of the #REVIVE project team from the Institut za poljoprivredu i turizam / Institute of Agriculture and Tourism participated in the EDIH Adria conference in Rijeka on 2nd October 2024. The EDIH Adria consortium operates as part of the European Digital Innovation Hub Network and is focused on the digital transformation of companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises. Attendance at the conference allowed the Institute's team to gain a better understanding of the available services. The SWG RRD - Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development in SEE, a partner in the #REVIVE Project, recently held a fruitful meeting with officials from the municipality of Staro Nagoricane, #NorthMacedonia. 👉The discussions focused on key issues like rural depopulation and the challenges facing internal territories. Participants explored ways the municipality, local businesses, producers, and civil organizations can collaborate to develop innovative business models. #REVIVE project partner SWG RRD - Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development in SEE organized meeting on 1st October in Skopje with the co-founders of Avifly Agro Drones, start up from Rankovce (Northeast region) #NorthMacedonia. These young people are engaged in agriculture and rural development through the implementation of innovative business models and uptake of digital technology, optimization and automatization. At the meeting SWG RRD team and young entrepreneurs discussed the current situation, startup culture, the acceptance of new technology in small rural areas and the possibilities of the development of the Internal Mediterranean areas. The potential of the development of 🌐 Mediterranean Digital Innovation Hubs (MDIH) and international cooperation and clustering is more than needed in North Macedonia. On September 23rd, a meeting with stakeholders from the pilot area of the #REVIVE project was held at the “Nonno Cianco Restaurant” in Cutigliano #Italy. The event was organized by the partners Anci Toscana and Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in collaboration with the associated partner GAL MontagnAppennino. More than 20 stakeholders, including operators of agritourism, farms, restaurants, and leisure and hospitality structures attended the meeting.
