In April of 2018 we hired our first sales rep at Revivn. We were already 5 years into the Revivn journey. We were unsure if somebody would be able to replicate the success Anthony Serina (my co-founder) and I had had selling our service. It’s hard to transition from founder-led sales to that first external hire selling your product. Fast forward 6 years and we’ve almost collected and repurposed a million laptops. Truthfully, when we started this company I thought getting to 8 figure revenue would be the payoff but now we’re marching to 9. A huge reason why we’re here is because of the success of the sales people we brought on throughout the years. It hasn’t been easy. When our first sales hire started we were working out of an older building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The customer calls were made from a warehouse with no air conditioning and blaring industrial drum fans. There was no sales software and we used spreadsheets to track every contact that we reached out to. The sales people who have been with us over the years didn’t let any of these obstacles slow them down. While we’ve come a long way since then, the qualities we are looking for in our next sales rep are actually very similar. We are still a startup, an insurgency. We’re looking for somebody who is hungry, believes in The Revivn Way, and truly feels that no computer should be left aside if it can be repurposed. Not only does repurposing create value, but it also helps enable tech access to those who may not have a laptop. For questions about the role - reach out to Courtney Bannon.
