Beyond thrilled to have attended the JPMorganChase annual Women's Leadership Day! This unforgettable event at the Marriott Marquis brought together powerhouses of resilience and brilliance—from Nobel Peace Prize winners and Olympians to visionary CEOs, and those who've turned extraordinary challenges into meaningful impact. Together, we celebrated what it truly means to lead with heart, purpose and strength. The theme of the day was - TAKE CHARGE, MAKE CHANGE - which is exactly what we are doing everyday at UNICORN in every stall. A huge thank you to Samantha Saperstein, Tanisha Hospedale, Elizabeth McPherson, Gemma Park, Ana Monte and many more for this amazing event and their incredible support to make magic happen in the stalls for all the women in attendance. We were given the opportunity to do a bathroom stall takeover at the Marriott Marquis (a pinch me moment)!!!! This partnership was so much more than placing dispensers in every stall—it’s about propelling a movement that drives leadership, innovation, and genuine change. As a scientist, I have gone through countless safety trainings to work in the lab. It was not until I was hurt in a chemical spill accident due to an improper functioning lab coat that I finally understood how important safety is. I met Shira Yevin on a video call during a 15 minute investor speed dating event. A few weeks later I joined a Gaingels angel syndicate to invest in her company Gritty In Pink, which is transforming the contract labor market in really exciting ways. Today we met in person for the first time time San Diego. Proof that sometimes a few minutes is all you need to make a meaningful connection that grows into something great.
