In today's Rexarc historical nod, we want to thank our former employees for their WWII efforts. During World War Two, the United States Navy built a larger number of bases in the Central and Southwest Pacific as the war moved towards the Japanese homeland. The Bureau of Yards and Docks published this catalog that listed all of the necessary equipment required for each base. Included in the catalog is a Sight Feed Generator Company acetylene portable generator as shown in these images. These pages illustrate our Sight Feed Generator Company Acetylene Gas Generator with an adaptor for use as a flood light. The enlarged description in the operation section gives instructions for use as a floodlight. Thank you to our innovators and creators! #Rexarc #ASME #Welovegas

ASME Vessels Play a Crucial Role in Carbon Capture and Storage 1. Containment and Storage: ASME vessels are designed to safely contain and store captured CO₂. This is essential for both temporary storage before transportation and long-term storage in geological formations. 2. High-Pressure Systems: Carbon capture often involves high-pressure systems, especially when CO₂ is compressed for transport. ASME vessels are built to withstand these high pressures, ensuring safety and efficiency. 3. Transport: These vessels are also used in the transportation of CO₂, whether by ship, truck, or pipeline. Their robust construction ensures that CO₂ can be transported without leakage. 4. Compliance and Standards: ASME sets rigorous standards for the design, construction, and inspection of pressure vessels. This ensures that all vessels used in carbon capture and removal meet high safety and performance standards. For more information please visit https://zurl.co/RZWa #Rexarc #ASME #Vessels #WeLoveGas

Should you use carbon or stainless steel for your ASME Vessels? Carbon steel is the most common choice for manufacturing pressure vessels due to several reasons: • Cost-Effective: It’s relatively affordable, making it attractive for budget-conscious industries. • Excellent Strength: Carbon steel withstands high internal pressures without deformation. • Wide Availability: Manufacturers can easily source it in various forms and grades. • Ease of Fabrication: It can be welded, formed, and machined with relative ease. • Compatibility: It works well with water, steam, gases, and many chemicals. • Durability: Properly maintained, carbon steel vessels have a long service life1. Stainless Steel is the better choice when; • Corrosion is a concern • Extreme operating conditions • Applications where hygiene, high temperatures or chemical exposure are critical factors. Remember to consider the specific requirements of your project when selecting the material for your ASME vessels! #ASME #Rexarc #Vessels #WeLoveGas
