  🗓️ The Italian Conference on Robotics and Intelligent Machines (I-RIM 3D) will begin tomorrow in #Rome ➡️➡️ https://lnkd.in/duWxSbHH   🎙️ Among the papers presented, one will concern REXASI-PRO! “Safety and Ethics in Intelligent Assistive Mobility” the title of the paper whose authors are Sara Narteni, Vanessa Orani, Alberto Carlevaro, Gianmarco Veruggio, Fiorella Operto and Maurizio Mongelli.   ♿ The work illustrates the procedure to assess safety and ethics for robotic systems that support people with impaired mobility. It describes the aims of te EU project, whose goal is to deploy an autonomous wheelchair supported by a drone for scouting the environment and a set of static cameras. In this context several hazards to people and things can occur. To this end the authors illustrate a methodology to detect, classify and present those hazards.

🚀 Exciting News from the Universidad de Sevilla consortium! 🚀 We are thrilled to announce that Universidad de Sevilla work has been selected for the prestigious Innovation Radar initiative, which identifies high-impact innovations in European projects 🎉. 📜 About the work: This research dives deep into reducing training datasets by selecting the most representative samples. Using a measure based on topological concepts, we can evaluate the representativeness of the selected set, ultimately lowering the computational cost of training artificial intelligence models without sacrificing performance. ⭕ Our two-day General Assembly, held at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) headquarters, concluded yesterday in #Bremen.   Thanks to all that attended the meeting.
