  • Amongst the many rigorous tests—such as ten years of aging on the parts, as well as seal, torsion, and bending tests, not to mention hours of impact resistance testing—the ultimate and most symbolic was the meticulous control of the thickness of each RM UP-01. Every piece that left our workshops was carefully measured to ensure a maximum thickness of just 1.75mm for the entire watch.

  • The RM 050 Split-Seconds Competition Chronograph Felipe Massa showcases a movement that retains all the best characteristics of the original RM 008 while adding new advancements. This calibre, launched in 2012, represents more than a simple update of the existing RM 008 movement. The engineers at Richard Mille began by researching every possible means of lowering the movement weight by 50%, the equivalent of 10 grams, decreasing the total to a mere 9.5 grams. The additional development with its skeletonised baseplate and bridges as well as innovative movement designs meant that more than 400 new parts had to be created for the calibre alone.

  • Fifteen years ago, our journey with Rafa began. We have been working in close collaboration with Rafael Nadal for over 15 years. Together, we have written some of the most remarkable chapters of the brand and witnessed his greatest victories. Our determination never wavered, turning obstacles into stepping stones toward greatness. As a distinguished member of the Richard Mille family, we have continuously supported Rafael Nadal —through his unique playing style or his commitment to sharing his knowledge with younger generations through his academy. Our journey may now extend beyond the tennis courts, but it remains just as thrilling, always eager to write new stories with him.

The Felipe Massa serie of watches has played a significant role in building the brand in many ways. Tested in real-world conditions on his wrist, the various developments have allowed the brand to push the boundaries of performance further. These triumphs include the creation of a carbon nanofiber baseplate, first tested in the RM 006 Felipe Massa and later used in several other models. Additionally, the brand pioneered the use of new and exotic materials, such as ALUSIC® cases in the RM 009 Felipe Massa. Both technologies were inspired by the aerospace industry, thanks to collaborations with NASA and the US Air Force. Massa’s name is also engraved on what is possibly the brand’s most iconic timepiece, the RM 011—the first Richard Mille flyback chronograph—as well as the RM 050, a true powerhouse that redefined our approach to split-seconds by creating the ultimate chronograph in terms of efficiency and performance.

  • Felipe Massa is the longest-standing sporting partner of the Richard Mille family, a driver who excels not only at the wheel but also in his friendships. It is through him that the concept of the Richard Mille family was born, remaining loyal to the brand for over twenty years. As THE tester for Richard Mille watches, he enabled the brand to initiate and accomplish astonishing feats in watchmaking development, testing them in real conditions on tracks all over the world.

The SP80 team is relentlessly training at Leucate, France, aiming to break the World Sailing Speed Record and achieve an astonishing 80 knots, all powered by the wind. Their revolutionary 10.5-meter long, 6-meter wide boat, which combines the features of a boat, a plane, and a Formula 1 car, is breaking all design codes to reshape the future sailing. Built for speed and stability, the SP80 features a Carbon TPT® hull for strength and lightweight performance, and is propelled by a 30-meter kite. Developed in partnership with North Thin Ply Technology, this cutting-edge craft is born to push the limits of wind-powered speed.

  • The Calibre CRMT1 is Richard Mille’s first fully in-house designed and automatic winding tourbillon movement, a double milestone that took over three years to develop. To complement the brand’s focus on women’s watches, it debuts in the RM 71-01 Talisman, blending technical innovation with feminine elegance. Made of skeletonized, microblasted grade 5 titanium, the lightweight movement features a one-minute tourbillon, titanium baseplate and bridges, a gem-set rotor with variable geometry in gold, and a 50-hour power reserve.  The result is a highly developed, technically advanced movement that simultaneously conveys a sumptuous expression of stunning workmanship and attention to every detail, seen or unseen.

  • The creation of Quartz TPT® Gold is a captivating journey through innovation, precision, and aesthetic artistry. At the heart of the RM 74-02 beats the CRMT5 Calibre, an in-house automatic tourbillon movement crafted from 18K 5N red gold and 18K 3N yellow gold for the baseplate and bridges, respectively. Within this intricate and architectural openwork structure, the tourbillon regulator ensures the movement’s precision. A red gold and platinum variable-geometry rotor is responsible for producing the energy of the watch, energy that flows seamlessly from fast-winding barrel, transmitted through the meshing teeth of involute gears, sustaining 50 hours of flawless performance. The bevelled flange, expertly crafted with festooned edges, highlights the lines of the movement, while hand-finished details refine the watch’s delicate features.
