Happy Autism Acceptance Month! As an organization we like to really encourage people to be themselves. We teach our students to be their best selves so that they can grow into the best adults they can be with love and support. When it comes to Autism and what it means and how it affects people, we decided that this month we will share quotes, projects and videos directly from the source. Our students know who they are, what they excel in and what they struggle with. The things we share are all things they want you to know about them and about Autism. For this #GivingTuesdaycampaign we will be sharing our reasons why. A lot of our reasons why are the joy on our student's faces and they reasons they tell us they like to be with us. This is Trey. Trey has been involved in our program in many different ways since 2013. He has literally grown up with us and we are still one of his favorite places to be. He looks forward to Social Saturday EVERY week. He is sad when we do not have it. He is our "mayor" and he greets and talks to every single person that attends. Trey also loves prom. He can be found on the dance floor ALL NIGHT. We work hard to provide a free sensory friendly prom to the community every year (that we are not affected by covid) and he would never miss it. We are so proud of Trey and all his accomplishments. We are blessed to provide space and activities that Trey enjoys, friends that he looks for every week and social skills lessons that help him navigate his world. Want to donate?
