I cannot believe I missed this!! Fairfield Court ES is making learning tangible for these kiddos and I’m here for it! It’s one of my favorite schools to visit because the vibes are unmatched! Big things are gonna happen!
🐾At Fairfield Court Elementary, learning comes to life! 🎉 Our students had an incredible time exploring the world of animals and their habitats while having fun at our petting zoo! 🐐🐇 From learning about the food animals need to survive to engaging in collaborative games like checkers, Jenga, and tic-tac-toe, it was an unforgettable day full of laughter, learning, and discovery. 🎲✨ Hands-on experiences like these inspire curiosity and build teamwork! 💡💪 Thank you to everyone who made this day paws-itively amazing! 🦁🌎 #LearningIsFun #HandsOnLearning #FairfieldCourtElementary #PettingZooFun #EaglesSOAR #AintNoStoppingUsNow #LeadWithLove #WeAreRPS Maggie Massie Clemmons

The new school year is upon us and it's time to introduce some new faces! 🎉 Richmond Public Schools would like to welcome Principal Adrain Pendelton to our school community at Frances W. McClenney Elementary School! Coming to Richmond from Minnesota, Ms. Pendleton began her career as an early childhood teacher. She's also been a school leader and has degrees in family education, education leadership, and school administration. Her favorite book to recommend to young readers is Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut by Derrick Barnes. "This book resonates with me because it celebrates the unique cultural experience of a trip to the barbershop, an integral part of the Black community. The vivid illustrations and rhythmic prose perfectly capture the joy, pride, and confidence that come with a fresh haircut. It's a powerful reminder of the importance of self-esteem and cultural pride. This book not only reflects the diverse backgrounds of our students but also promotes a positive and empowering message about embracing one’s identity and heritage." We are so excited to have Ms. Pendelton! #TeachWithLove #ServeWithLove #LeadWithLove
