Today, the NFL announced encouraging data about how advanced helmet technology is helping make the game safer. Riddell is pleased to be leading helmet innovation forward and seeing the numbers reflect this commitment.

This is a great look inside our history, continued innovation, and leadership in football head protection.

We at #TeamRiddell are proud to have the highest-ranked helmet available to NFL players this season as well as three of the five safest helmets ever tested by the league.

Today, Riddell announced a leadership team transition. Dan Arment, President and CEO, will be retiring at the end of the year and will remain involved as a Senior Advisor and board member. He is succeeded by Allison Boersma, the current CFO and COO, who will also join the board. John Fitch, current VP of Finance, will be promoted to CFO. Both Allison and John’s roles begin effective January 1, 2025. Dan has played an essential role in advancing the game of football, particularly with our industry-leading head protection, while serving the sport and its stakeholders during a dynamic time. Under Dan’s direction, Riddell has achieved unprecedented financial performance and has been solidified as the market leader. Allison has always led with an employee-centric mindset and was critically important in maximizing the company’s growth during her tenure. Are you ready for an inspirational story? 🏈🌲💫 After experiencing a seizure during football practice in the Flagstaff High School weight room, which led to a brain tumor diagnosis, wish kid Stephen’s teammates rallied around him with support. The next day, several of Stephen’s teammates delivered a poster filled with encouraging messages signed by the entire team. This poster became a symbol of hope and was “the very first thing I wanted to see after surgery,” shared Stephen. Stephen immediately thought of others when he qualified for Make-A-Wish. His wish — to give helmets to his high school football varsity team — will continue to give back to the teammates who gave so much to him. With help from Riddell, Stephen's wish will provide his teammates with a lasting gift designed to enhance player protection while helping maximize performance on the field. “By receiving these helmets from Make-A-Wish and Riddell, I hope it inspires my teammates to know that there is always a next step, regardless of circumstance,” said Stephen. “Whether it’s a game, a quarter, a play, or life, you can always push through it, overcome adversity, and keep moving.” Initially, it seemed unlikely Stephen would wear one of these helmets with his team. However, thanks to successful treatment, wish kid Stephen will suit up with the rest of the team this fall. As the National Football League (NFL) kicks off their season tonight in Kansas City, #TeamRiddell is excited to see Axiom3D, our latest on-field technology, make its regular season debut during Week 1. Axiom3D is a new premium tier helmet model from the Axiom platform. It's the result of taking our decades-proven technology and innovation and applying it to position-specific criteria established by the NFL for helmet manufacturers. We designed it with proven 3D-printed lattice liner technology with performance tunability for QB and OL/DL position groups. This process yielded the highest-ranked helmet available to NFL players, according to the 2024 NFL and NFLPA Helmet Laboratory Testing Performance results.
