Our vision is to build reliable & innovative infrastructure to support & empower future generations

About us

Founded as the Riggs-Linthicum Company in 1909, our original charge mission was to represent manufacturers in the sale of materials for “buildings, railroads, and other purposes.” Over the years, Riggs Distler helped construct some of the most notable buildings in the United States, including the Empire State Building, the U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal Reserve Building, the Library of Congress, the Internal Revenue Service headquarters, The Breakers Hotel, the National Constitution Center, and hundreds of power plants, government facilities, refineries, and industrial facilities throughout the eastern United States. In 2021, we joined Centuri Group, Inc., a comprehensive utility infrastructure enterprise serving gas and electric providers across North America. Our 100 years of experience stand behind Centuri’s 100-year plan and vision for long-term sustainability. Riggs Distler & Company, Inc. (A Centuri Company), remains a Maryland-incorporated company with headquarters in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and numerous branch offices up and down the Eastern United States. We’re proud of our tradition of success over more than 110 consecutive years of service, and we aim to build our future by focusing on the values that got us here: reliability, safety, and a commitment to hiring and supporting the industry’s best staff. As we embark on our next century of service, we thank the clients we’ve been able to serve on so many successful projects. We look forward to helping you build for the future.

Riggs Distler is proud to be part of this project. Congrats to all involved!

Earlier today, we celebrated the Topping off of H-1 at HELIX NJ with our partners at Rutgers University, RWJBarnabas Health, Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), Middlesex County, NJ - County Government, @New Brunswick -- and the men and women of the building trades who make our projects possible. The topping off marks the completion of the structural steel and the start of the next phase of construction. Speakers and attendees were invited to sign the last steel beam that was hoisted 250 feet into the air and placed atop the 12-story, 574,000 square foot facility. "If you build it, they will come. You have built it. And here we come." -- Dean Amy Murtha, Rutgers School of Medicine

Chief Executive Officer at Riggs Distler

I’m proud to share three recent milestones that underscore Riggs Distler's commitment to fueling a sustainable energy future. Representatives from Riggs Distler and Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind gathered in our Cherry Hill office to sign the Zero-Defect Quality Charter and the Zero Harm (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) Charter for the Cardiff Substation Expansion Project. These commitments are integral for Atlantic Shores Project 1, which will deliver 1,510 megawatts of clean energy to New Jersey. It is expected to power over 700,000 homes while contributing nearly $2 billion to the Garden State’s economy.   Our heavy industrial and generation group was recently awarded the mechanical, electrical, and fit out portions of a project to develop a new RNG (Renewable Natural Gas) plant at an Ocean County New Jersey Landfill for SCS Energy. A RNG plant reduces carbon emissions by turning waste into a sustainable, low-carbon fuel. Over the past few weeks, our dedicated teams have made significant progress, including pipe fabrication and installation, equipment setup, instrumentation, insulation, and painting. Last month, our Sunrise Wind site team completed the 84th and final External Concrete Working Platform, marking the end of Riggs Distler's concrete casting scope for Ørsted's Northeast Portfolio. Between November 2022 and July 2024, RDC poured 161 platforms across the South Fork Wind, Revolution Wind, and Sunrise Wind projects. The Sunrise Wind platforms were completed in just over 12 months, alongside the construction of a new concrete casting facility. This achievement highlights RDC's role as the only Tier-1, union contractor in the U.S. producing these advanced foundation components, with a continued focus on safety and quality. It’s an honor to be at the forefront of transformative projects like these that align with Riggs Distler’s core values of safety, sustainability, and stewardship in the neighborhoods where we live and work. Together, we’re not just building infrastructure, we’re building a more sustainable future for our communities. #RiggsDistler
