RISE is excited to announce that Pamela McKinley joined the RISE team in April as the new Executive Director for RISE Utah. Pamela has spent the last few months traveling around the state of Utah visiting programs and meeting RISE team members. Pamela has extensive experience in leadership and business development roles. Over the course of her career prior to RISE, she held roles in Idaho and Utah, including the Idaho Executive Director of a multi-county social services non-profit organization, Regional Director for the State of Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, Utah Marketing Director for an interventional surgical medical company, and Utah Vice-President of a property management company. At RISE, Pamela is looking forward to serving clients, families and community partners by continuing with the RISE standard of excellence providing opportunities that enhance their lives. She has been so impressed with the years of knowledge, experience, dedication and compassion of the amazing RISE leadership team and staff. In her free time, Pamela is usually in a yoga or Pilates class. She says she can’t figure out how to speak a useful language like Spanish or Italian, so she learned the dead yoga language of Sanskrit, which is fun but completely useless in real life. And let’s be honest…who doesn’t love a good Sunday nap! Please help us welcome Pamela to the RISE team!

Your valuable insights and engaging presentations have left a lasting impression on our youth participants. We appreciate the time you took to make July’s workshop a success.

RISE is excited to announce that Lisa Breitenstein has been promoted to the newly created role VP of Quality Assurance at RISE. In this new role, Lisa will be responsible for supporting all RISE services in the areas of quality programming, compliance, and overall satisfaction for the people we support and our stakeholders. Lisa was previously the Utah Executive Director for 12 years, where she excelled in delivering quality services across multiple service lines. Lisa will be working with RISE divisions and the corporate leadership team closely to strengthen our quality initiatives, including accreditation efforts. Her favorite part of working for RISE is the progressive, innovative and ever-changing world RISE creates, with quality services at the forefront. This has allowed her continued growth, always thinking outside the box, creating opportunities, leveraging current and available resources and thoughtfully proposing and pursuing options that will consistently result in improvements for those she supports, her colleagues and the field. In her free time, Lisa loves to travel and anything to do with nature and the outdoors. The mountains, the beach, or even working in her garden. Lisa also loves spending time with her family.
