We're proud to highlight how our colleagues are connected to the Risepoint mission, even outside of their roles here at the organization. Thank you, Cene' Griffin, MBA', for supporting the future of leadership and service as the Selection Committee Chair for the Dr. Vivienne Malone-Mayes Endowed Scholarship at Baylor University - including the son of one of our Risepoint teammates! Read the full story below.
I am grateful to my company for sharing about my unexpected but fun introduction while I was back at Baylor University for the Black Alumni Alliance Reunion Weekend! Check it out below! —————— Our Risepoint employees don't just believe in our mission but live it out daily. Cene’ Griffin, Sr Operations Manager, Partner Support, currently serves as the Selection Committee Chair for the Dr. Vinienne Malone-Mayes Endowed Scholarship at Baylor University. On Friday, September 27, Cene’ and the Baylor Black Alumni Alliance recognized the 2024-2025 Malone-Mayes Scholars. One of those scholars was Mr. Chas Doughtry. Chas is a senior, studying Computer Science at Baylor and contributes to campus life through his work as National Planning Chair of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the vice president of the Tau Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, and a member of the Order of Omega Greek honor society. Chas Doughtry is also the son of Associate Executive Director, Field Marketing, Ami Doughtry, MBA! Imagine Cene's surprise when her Baylor and Risepoint worlds would collide that evening! Ami and Cene work together with our exceptional Risepoint teams to support one of our newest partners, Texas State University. Having never met in person, Ami thought Cene's name sounded familiar, but after hearing her voice (thanks Teams), was able to connect the name, voice, and face—what a small world! Please join us in congratulating Chas, Ami, and the Doughtry family on this wonderful achievement! Online education expands access to critical education that can help students transform into leaders within their field. Cary Robinson, who earned his RN to BSN from Southern Utah University, shared that “This nursing program is more focused on being a nurse in the community. Being a nurse as a part of a team. Taking the lead instead of just following.” #RNtoBSN #Risepoint #ReachNewHeights

Many thanks to Dr. Tim Wall, Dean of the School of Education and Director of Teacher Education at Northwest Missouri State University, for recently joining us for a session at the WCET - WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies (WCET) Annual Meeting. Together with Dr. Tekoya Boykins, Risepoint Director of Academic Program Strategy, they discussed how to strengthen student outcomes across the institution. We are excited about the work Dr. Wall is doing to create enduring outcomes for students and honored to be able to support him and NMSU in that effort. #WCETannual

Our partners offer programs focused on empowering students with skills that can be seamlessly applied to their careers. Mandy Crider, who is working toward her MSEd at Northwest Missouri State University, shared that “Every class that I have taken has coincided with something that has come up in my own classroom. … I can use whatever I've learned in that class back with my kids.” #MSEd #Risepoint #ReachNewHeights

One of the biggest challenges facing working adults seeking to advance their education is the cost. Risepoint helps our partners put the power of education in students' hands - helping more working adults shape their futures through programs that deliver real results. In fact, an independent survey conducted by Ipsos found that, on average, graduates from Risepoint-supported programs reported an average debt of roughly $8,800 per student. According to the Education Data Initiative, this compares to a national average of $40,681 per student. Read more key findings from our 2024 student ROI report here: https://lnkd.in/gnZeeZYV

Many thanks to the University of Colorado Denver for hosting Risepoint at the P3 EDU conference last week! We were so inspired to hear from Risepoint partners, like The University of Texas at Arlington's Dr. Jennifer Cowley, who provided perspective on how private partnerships can help institutions improve student success and expand reach and access. Pictured is Dr. Cowley with our CEO Fernando Bleichmar and Susan Dukes, who is instrumental in supporting the UTA partnership, among others. #p3edu
