About us
New Mexico is ranked as one of the hungriest and most poverty-stricken states in the nation. Roadrunner® Food Bank, a Feeding America member, is the largest non-profit dedicated to solving hunger in New Mexico. The Food Bank serves as a distribution hub and provides food to hundreds of affiliated partners around the state including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and regional food banks. Roadrunner also distributes food through its own specialized programs helping children, families and seniors at schools, low-income seniors housing sites, senior centers and healthcare clinics. Last year, the Food Bank distributed more than 40 million pounds of food, helping tens of thousands of people experiencing hunger every week through a statewide hunger-relief network. For more information on solving hunger in New Mexico, visit www.rrfb.org, or follow us on social media: Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

What a way to end the week! Please join us in celebrating Angelo Jimenez the second graduate of our #jobtraining program. Angelo was referred to us through our partnership with NM Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and has been a joy in every department he has worked with during his #internship. From working with volunteers to whizzing around the warehouse, Angelo is a natural, and has picked up operating #forklifts faster than anyone! We are so pleased to be a part of his bright future. Congratulations, Angelo! Learn more about the program at: rrfb.org/job-training

For many families #summerbreak means struggling to have enough food for kids out of school. Without the #meals served at school, there is an increased need to fill that gap and get these families the food they need. You can help by hosting a summer #fooddrive! Visit rrfb.org/food-fund-drive to learn how!

Special thank you to so many who have stepped forward to continue to help with #response efforts. While the fire in the #Ruidoso area is mostly contained, help in the area has still been requested from #partners and the #NationalGuard still very much involved in the response efforts. Just today Reddy Ice's location here in Albuquerque provided two pallets of ice (about 612 bags) that will go down for those without enough refrigeration or who may temporarily have the inability to keep foods cold. View the latest updates at www.rrfb.org/fire-response. Thank you to partners and supporters who are continuing to step up to assist when needed. We appreciate you! #DisasterRelief #CommunitySupport #EmergencyResponse #Gratitude

At #food #distributions, we run into people all the time. Many of them take a few moments to share a #story with us. Manuel shared, "Anything helps. I'm a retired chef. Been retired for 5 years. We help with my grandkids, and I have a lot of them. #Groceries are so expensive, and we don't qualify for much. Our #SNAP benefits each month are around $80, but we're often feeding our grandkids too, so #SNAP doesn't go as for all of us. The food we pick up here helps a lot and we are so grateful to have it." To you our extended team of supporters, we thank you for making meals possible for so many #grandparents helping raise #grandchildren. You get a #halo in our book - 😇!

Happy #worldufoday2024! Donating your vehicle is a unique way to support Roadrunner Food Bank. Through Charitable Auto Resources (CARS) your #donatedvehicle can become funds for the food bank and a potential tax deduction for you. What a win! We’ll take cars, trucks, motorcycles, RV’s, tractors, boats—running or not. We’ll even take that busted UFO you found in the desert. 🛸 Learn more at rrfb.org/cars #CARS4Good

Please join us in celebrating 50 MILLION pounds of food received at the #foodbank this year! Pounds distributed are not far behind at 46 MILLION! This is one of our largest distribution years ever and second largest receiving year since 2020. More #food received means more #meals out to those who need it. We are so grateful to our partners, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and staff who made this possible. Here's to the next, even bigger year in our fight against #hunger in #NewMexico.
