Congratulations, LewisGale Regional Health System, on your new Sim Lab! This new asset will have transformative impacts on the GME program and workforce training in the region. Well done 👏 👏👏
Congratulations to LewisGale Regional Health System on the opening of their new Graduate Medical Education (GME) Sim Lab! Doctors, residents, hospital staff, and city officials celebrated the official unveiling of this facility that took two-and-a-half years to build. The scenarios in the Sim Lab are what residents and doctors will encounter in their day-to-day work, and this facility now sets Lewis Gail apart as a medical program of choice. Additionally, this is an incredible advancement for workforce development in the healthcare field and sets our region apart. Congratulations again! 🥳 Thank you for letting us see the Sim Lab in action and allowing us to celebrate with you! #SalemVA #LewisGaleMedicalCenter #MedSchool #SimLab #RoanokeRegionofVA #RoanokeRegionalPartnership #RoanokeRegionOfVA

The Virginia Economic Developers Association (VEDA) Fall Conference kicked off in Roanoke today, and we're honored to welcome so many creative minds from the economic development field! There were several impactful and insightful moments today, but two of our favorites are pictured below: All of the Cardinal Award winners, including the newest Garrett Hart, gathered for a photo. You can spot past winner Ann Blair Miller (and our director of business investment) third from the right! Our executive director, John Hull, and Partnership board member, Richmond Vincent, engaged in a discussion regarding Melrose Plaza--a transformational project that's bringing jobs and opportunity back to an underserved neighborhood of Roanoke.
