About us

Our mission is to empower people through technology to help create safer organizations. When it comes to safety, nothing is more important than being able to reach for help when you need it. That is why we designed our proprietary panic button solution for organizations that need to protect employees and others who may be at risk. It consists of proprietary technology that provides continuous coverage throughout a facility, even in dead zones to provide a lifeline when it is needed most. It operates independently of the facilities network, so it is always on. ROAR’s solution is the choice of major hotel chains and healthcare providers due to its ease of use, redundant backups, and maintainability.

Mental health is an integral part of our mission to help behavioral health teams feel secure not only physically but psychologically. When employees feel supported in their mental health journey, they’re shown to be more productive and engaged at work. In the field of healthcare, that translates directly to better patient care and improve patient outcomes. ROAR’s panic button and personal duress system solutions reduce risks for patients, staff and visitors by addressing all three phases of emergency management: 1)    it prevents incidents by proactively identifying potential safety threats; 2)    if an incident occurs, it ensures fast intervention to limit its impact and contain the situation; and 3)    it accelerates emergency response times, providing critical support when every second matters. On World Mental Health Day, and every day - we’re proud of our efforts to help to build a safe and supportive place to work, protecting at-risk employees. How are you contributing toward the same goal? #WorldMentalHealthDay #BehavioralHealth #TechforGood #ROAR #MentalHealthMatters

Mental Illness Awareness Week is a reminder of the challenges faced by individuals working in behavioral health—both their patients' and their own. At ROAR, we understand that true safety extends beyond physical protection. Our duress alert solutions are designed to not only protect employees from physical threats but also to support their psychological well-being. Behavioral health teams are on the frontlines, working with individuals in crisis every day. The ability to quickly signal for help, knowing their environment is safe, allows them to focus on what matters most—their patients. As we mark ROAR’s 10-year anniversary, we’re not only reflecting on our journey but also living out one of our core values: Paying it Forward.   In honor of this milestone, we’re proud to be donating our duress solution to a domestic violence nonprofit that will use our technology to protect their case workers and survivors in transitional housing. By providing their staff with wearable duress buttons and giving survivors after-hours access to security in case their abusers return, they’ll be able to quickly and discreetly call for help when needed most. This ensures peace of mind and safety during a critical time as they work toward rebuilding their lives. Empowering people through safety has always been at the heart of our mission, and this donation is another step in our commitment to making a lasting impact. Here’s to many more years of protecting vulnerable individuals and creating safer spaces for everyone. Thank you to our amazing team, partners, and supporters for being part of ROAR’s first decade—and here’s to many more years of making a difference together. 💙   #PayItForward #10YearsOfROAR #CreatingSaferSpaces #CommunityImpact #DomesticViolenceAwareness

At ROAR, we believe in being the change we wish to see in the world. To provide our team with the opportunity to support their communities, we will be observing International Peace Day on Friday, September 20th to honor the spirit of the day. In a time where division and incivility seem to be at an all-time high, we see this as a powerful opportunity to spread kindness and connection. We encourage our team and community to take the day to make a positive impact—whether that’s volunteering, helping a neighbor, or simply sharing a moment of kindness. Last year, our team shared inspiring stories: from cleaning up neighborhoods to working with refugees and volunteering at shelters. Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, contributes to a more peaceful world. How will you spread peace this year? Share your plans or volunteer opportunities, and let’s inspire each other to make a difference. #PeaceDay #ROARForGood #BeTheChange #SpreadKindness #Volunteer #ROAR10Years
