RAEDI hosted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) today at the Economic Development Center. This outreach event brought together nearly 60 people in the banking and economic communities to learn about what efforts in SE Minnesota are supporting job creation, creating access to credit, and entrepreneur support for traditionally undeserved and low-and-moderate income populations. RAEDI President John Wade gave the keynote address. Kelsea Koch with the FDIC discussed qualifications for CRA credits, and a panel consisting of Robert Harris from (CEDA) Community and Economic Development Associates (CEDA), Tawonda Burks from RAEDI, and Dwayne Lee from 504 Corporation, discussed initiatives and programs taking place in the Rochester area and SE Minnesota, and ways banks can get involved.
