About us

Rock Creek Property Group, LLC (“Rock Creek”) is owned by four real estate professionals, each with more than 30 years of industry experience. Rock Creek acquires, develops, leases and operates commercial real estate in the Washington, DC Metro area. We have acquired and developed a variety of property types including office, multi-family, retail, industrial and urban mixed-use assets. Our acquisition structures include fee simple transactions, joint ventures, foreclosure sales, and the acquisition of partnership interests. Rock Creek’s principals have acquired and developed several million square feet of projects and invest a substantial amount of their own equity in each project while serving as the managing investment member for each ownership entity. In 2009 Rock Creek closed on its first opportunity fund, a $25M value-add vehicle; in 2015 Rock Creek closed on Fund II, a $60M fund targeting value-add and income producing properties; and in 2022 Rock Creek closed on Fund III, a $100M discretionary fund targeting value-add, redevelopment and joint venture opportunities in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC. Rock Creek currently invests capital for more than 250 private clients and retirement accounts and represents a variety of local and institutional clients through its affiliated companies. Our management style and approach to each project is hands-on, which is the only way we can responsibly safeguard and channel our own resources and that of our investors, lenders and partners.     Rock Creek is pleased to showcase the finished product at our award-winning spec lab campus at Precision Labs | Germantown on Century Boulevard in Germantown, MD. Our carefully planned and meticulously executed 121,000 square foot, Precision Labs | Germantown adaptive re-use lab conversion project at 20420, 20430 and 20440 Century Boulevard in Germantown, MD took home the prize!   Jon Lastuvka, Rock Creek’s Executive Vice President and head of development is shown holding the trophy at the NAIOP DC|MD 21st Annual Awards of Excellence Gala at the Waldorf Astoria Washington, DC.     Rock Creek Property Group is pleased to announce our $52.8 million acquisition of four prominent shopping centers in the Dale City market of Woodbridge, VA. The portfolio, located along Dale Boulevard, includes Center Plaza, Mapledale Plaza, Glendale Plaza and Forestdale Plaza – consisting of approximately 480,000 square feet on 70 acres in total. The acquisition includes 14+ acres of vacant land where entitlements have already begun for future commercial or residential development. Rock Creek would like to extend special recognition to our valued partners at Ideal Realty Group and The Sigmund Companies for sourcing the opportunity and their diligence during the closing process.   Two of the centers are grocery anchored by Giant. Other tenants include well-known brands such as Truist Bank, Wells Fargo, CVS, Ace Hardware, Advance Auto Parts and Dollar General. Although the centers are currently 90% occupied, we have a major renovation planned for each including upgrades to the facades, parking lots, lighting, marque signage, tenant signage, walkways, and landscaping throughout. We are pleased to be working with MV+A Architects to transform these properties and create a new, exciting vibe. The Shopping Center Group has been retained for property management.   With hybrid work here to stay, these shopping centers will attract a broad new audience of regional and national retailers to lease the few remaining spaces.
