Last week, our Truesdell Elementary School project team hosted a topping-out celebration! 🏗️ This was an opportunity for us to pause work and recognize our hardworking subcontractors. Remarks were made by the CWC and Blue Skye Construction and Development, DC project teams, as well as officials from the DC Department of General Services. Our design-build partner, VMDO Architects, and MGAC, the owner's rep, were also in attendance to celebrate. 👏Kudos to everyone working on this stellar modernization project, which is on track to achieve Net Zero Certification! Our commitment to community goes beyond building structures—we’re focused on building futures. As a proud Corporate Sponsor of Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School and Corporate Work Study Program, we have welcomed many talented interns into our company, helping them gain real-world experience while guiding their career paths. One such student, Angie Perdomo, a current Don Bosco high school student interning with our preconstruction team, was recently featured on FOX 5 DC local news while promoting the 3rd Annual Cristo Rey Cup. The IIDA Cosmo Couture event was literally out of this world ;) As a first timer, I was blown away at the creativity and craftsmanship of each outfit. This year, Coakley & Williams Construction (CWC) teamed up with designers from AECOM and D-HIVE. Well done! Always great to see friends and clients in the industry! We will be back at the next one!! #shoutout to the committee for such a smashing success!

Today, we gathered to celebrate Executive Assistant Martha McDade's retirement and her impressive 26-year career with CWC. Martha touched every aspect of the business, beginning her career in 1998 when CWC had just moved to Gaithersburg. President Patrick Caulfield gave some remarks about Martha's tenure and her contributions to the company's success: "It takes a lot of people to get buildings built and to build a company, and Martha has been here to build this company from a sub $50m company to what's very soon going to be a $500m company. I'm honored that you spent a significant part of your working career with us here. You've meant an enormous amount to us, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts." Please join us in congratulating Martha on her well-deserved retirement! #buildingthedmv #workatcwc #happyretirement
