She emphasizes the importance of a research strategy, planning, and demonstrating how research can deliver and communicate its value to the business. 💬 Let us know what you think in the comments + Get the full recording in our newsletter tomorrow. 👋 We're People of Research —a global hybrid community of +1300 researchers that spans +60 countries bringing together researchers in tech. Partnering with leadership to reimagine research’s role in organizations

I couldn’t write just a few sentences about Kate Towsey's brilliant book “Research That Scales.” This book is incredibly valuable, and here are three reasons why I recommend it: -Clear Definitions: Kate grounds her premise in clear definitions, ensuring readers are aligned on key concepts like "scale" and "strategy” -Measuring Impact: Kate tackles the contentious issue of measuring research impact and advocates for measuring engagement with operating systems -Contextual Clarity: Kate shows how ResearchOps integrates with established disciplines like knowledge management, finance, and marketing, and emphasizes the importance of leveraging existing expertise My review kept getting longer and longer, so I turned it into a blog post. For more detail, check it out on Medium.

Why do so many metrics include the word “Key”? How do those metrics differ, and how do teams and organizations decide which key metric is best for them? Join this Rosenverse community discussion on November 13 with Saara Kamppari-Miller to compare different types of three-letter acronym metrics such as KPI, KEI, and KSP (Key Performance Indicator, Key Experience Indicator, and Key Strategic Priorities). And let’s not forget OKR’s (Objectives and Key Results)! Register for free via the Rosenverse: https://lnkd.in/eebDF4-Y

THIS JUST IN: We've announced four Advancing Service Design workshops! 🤩 Rosenfeld workshops are designed with YOU in mind. Learn from leading service design experts during two days of hands-on learning. DEC 5-6: Radical Participatory Design with Victor Udoewa ⭐️ If you are looking for a methodology that helps you determine when you bring community members into the design process to participate and what specific methods and activities you do with them, this is NOT the workshop for you. We will focus on the meta-methodology Radical Participatory Design (RPD), in which community members are always present and leading and through which you conduct whatever methodology the community chooses in a fully participatory way. DEC 12-13: Impactful Service Design: Getting Things Done in Complex Organizations with Ayesha M. ⭐️ This workshop takes you through tried and tested approaches for navigating organizational complexity by orienting around service outcomes and performance measures. You’ll learn how services can support a common language across teams and up the chain, linking delivery to impact. DEC 12-13: From Systems Thinking to Systems Doing: a practical approach for service designers with Sylvie A. ⭐️ If you’re a systems thinker struggling to become a systems doer, join us to learn and apply an approach to systems-oriented service design that is practical, yet not reductionist – simplifying the art of stepping into complexity, without simplifying the complexity itself. We will discuss (and question) the barriers identified before delving into the proposed approach. DEC 16-17: Systems Thinking for Service Designers with John Mortimer ⭐️ As a service designer do you need to have more influence in how your work can make a difference in the business? Do you want to be more effective in helping solve real business problems? Systems thinking provides you with concrete skills to effect change and raise your ability to make a difference. If you know there is more to service design than its current boundaries, then this workshop is for you. Make sure to secure your spot before these workshops fill up! Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/evdMuh8f #servicedesign #ux #systemsthinking #methodology

    • Headshots of four individuals with the test "Rosenfeld Advancing Service Design 2024. JUST ANNOUNCED: Secure your spot at our live workshops this December."
