About us
Issued its charter by Rotary International in 1914, the Rotary Club of Trenton, New Jersey is a not-for-profit organization of men and women who meet for lunch almost every Thursday at 12:15 p.m. at the Trenton Country Club to enjoy fellowship and a meal, to hear an informative program and to discuss and plan service projects. During its long history, the Rotary Club of Trenton has counted among its members many of the Trenton area’s most influential business and professional leaders. The Rotary Club of Trenton has no paid staff and is governed by a Board of Directors elected annually to one-year terms by the general membership. Each Rotary Club year begins July 1st and ends June 30th. According to the club’s By-Laws, “Any person residing or working in the territorial limits of this Club, or in the contiguous environs, who is engaged in any worthy and recognized business, occupation, or profession as a proprietor, partner, manager or officer with executive and discretionary authority and who has a reputation for honesty, fairness and personal character, may be elected to Active Membership.” Rotary Club of Trenton Projects include: Lion Woodward Foundation Scholarship, Trenton Rotary Corn Hole Tournament,Trenton Rotary Sponsors Rotaract Club at TCNJ, TDI Connect, Hands-on Service Opportunity at Homefront for Trenton Rotarians and Friends, Trenton Rotary Club Serves Up Meals for Loaves and Fishes Program, Trenton Rotarians & Salvation Army Bell Ringing Tradition, and more. Trenton Rotary is part of Rotary District 7475, serving Rotarians in Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties in NJ.

This past weekend, the Trenton Rotary Club proudly helped to sponsor an evening honoring Daniel Shungu for his 20+ years of dedication to treating and preventing river blindness. The event featured an auction, dance performances, and dinner, celebrating the vital work in "reaching the last mile" in global health initiatives. Thank you to all who attended and supported this important cause!

We had a good night last Friday, serving 312 meals of sausage peppers & onions, baked beans, cookies or brownie and water at four locations. We also gave out 200 pairs of socks. On the canteen were Kevin Quilty, Christine Secrist, Douglas Nguyen and Charlie Parkerson. Cookies and brownies were baked/provided by Kevin Quilty and Luz Evans. We had a good night last Friday, the weather was perfect. We served 256 meals of ham & cheese sandwiches or cheese sandwiches, brownie or cookie and water at 5 locations, we also gave out 206 pairs of socks.
