    Selling your company can be a thrilling adventure or an incredibly dull, well, let's call it "experience" 😏 As a founder, aligning with the right buyer is crucial. There's a reason why one of the first questions we ask founders, at @saas.group is, what do you want from the acquisition? Not all "dream exits" are equal. Here are some key considerations: - 🤝 Identify a buyer who shares your 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 your company. - 📈 Prepare early: streamline operations and maintain 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀. - ❓ Ask the right questions, aka 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝘂𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 1. What is your track record with acquisitions? 2. What is your vision for our products? 3. What will happen to our team post-acquisition? 4. How will you impact our customers? 5. What is the valuation and deal structure? - ⚠️ Watch for 𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀: 1. Lack of cultural fit 2. Unrealistic valuations 3. Vague intentions 4. Weak financials or 5. Goal misalignment Selling your company is a major decision. Being clear about your goals and preparing well can increase your chances of finding the one and only to jump into this with.
