It was a delight meeting these wonderful ladies from the Sacramento Maharlika Lions Foundation today. They stopped by to drop off 100 backpacks and many extra school supplies for the kids we serve in the community! They have donated backpacks to the Sacramento Children's Home for many years, and we're so grateful for their generosity. Thank you, Theresa, Anne, and Vickie! 🎒💕 #backpackdrive

Congratulations, Dusty, on your C-Suite award from Sacramento Business Journal! It is well-deserved, and we are all proud of you here at Sacramento Children's Home! We are lucky to have you as one of our board members.
Today I was honored to receive a C-Suite Award from the Sacramento Business Journal. I would love to take credit and say it was all me, but the truth is I have been exceptionally lucky. · I’m lucky to have wife and partner who has truly made me a better person. Without her there is no way in the world something like this would happen. · I’ve been lucky to have people believe in me and see something that I really didn’t even see myself. Always pushing me and giving the opportunity, the space, to fail, learn, and grow · I’m lucky to work with brilliant, kind, mission driven people. It really is one of the best things about KP. This is a team sport and I am self-aware enough to know I flounder on a bad team and thrive on a good one. · And I am lucky to work for a company like KP where our fundamental purpose is to improve the health of our community… and we have the capability to deliver on that. We believe that health is both a personal and community issue. Health is an engine for economic growth and development. We see it everyday in the work that we do, and we see it in the major projects and investments we make, like our new Sacramento Railyards Medical Center. Knowing all of this makes it easy to get up every day and stay motivated, so again I have been incredibly lucky.

Joining the Sustainer’s Circle is the best way to provide dependable, ongoing funding to end child abuse and neglect and give families a better tomorrow. The Crisis Nursery is one of our highest-needs programs here at the Sacramento Children’s Home and depends on community support to offer free emergency childcare to Sacramento County families 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. You can help children aged 0-5 have a safe place to stay when their parents are experiencing a crisis by visiting https://lnkd.in/dxRVNAj. #crisinursery #givebacktoyourcommunity #childrenandfamilies #giveback
