Students across the country are missing out on vital hands-on STEM education & we need your help to change that. Thanks to you, a small nonprofit recently brought STEM to life for dozens of girls in their GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science) program. Check out their full story: https://sae.to/4fAnhCX More children are waiting for this opportunity. In honor of National STEM Day help us meet this challenge and ensure more students get the opportunity to explore their potential. https://sae.to/3YXD8G3

For over 20 years, Nissan Motor Corporation and SAE have worked together to impact students through equitable STEM education and opportunity. We'd like to acknowledge their continued support of enriching, hands-on STEM learning for PreK-12 students and teachers in five Nissan communities across the nation through the SAE A World In Motion® (AWIM®) program and their Gold level sponsorship of the 2025 Formula SAE EV competition for university students. Nissan is also a STEM Pioneer Sponsor for the 2025 SAE Foundation Annual Celebration taking place in the spring. Thank you, Nissan, for enriching people's lives! #NissanPhilanthropy

It was brilliant to see some very young engineers in action this week! Foundation Director, Sarah Smith, joined 4th and 5th graders at 186th Street Elementary School in LA as they engaged with our charity partner SAE Foundation and its “A World In Motion” program, focusing on the JetToy module. The 10 and 11-year-olds tested balloon-powered toy cars that they had designed and created, learning through teamwork and problem-solving. With roles like 'Project Engineer' and 'Test Engineer', they not only built models but also developed critical STEM skills. The program aims to spark interest in STEM while equipping teachers with the confidence to teach these subjects. One 10-year-old aspiring astronaut engineer summed it up perfectly: “It was a good experience. We got to do engineering and we learnt from our mistakes. Just because you get something wrong, doesn’t mean you can’t fix it.” Thank you to the SAE Foundation, Alicia C. Bott, Ph.D, 186th Street School (especially teacher Adan Gonzalez) and all the students, for your inspiring work! You can find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eNVUN7qY

We are excited to celebrate that SAE's new eLearning game, Autonomous Expedition, has been selected as a 2024 winner for the Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence: Back to School in the Secondary Education category! “With emerging technology like AI exploding just as ESSER funds are dwindling in schools nationwide, our readers count on Tech & Learning to curate the best products out there to support an equitable, effective learning environment,” says Tech & Learning Content Director, Christine Weiser. “The winning products met our evaluation criteria to qualify for this prestigious list.” Thank you to all of our generous donors, corporate funders and d'Vinci Interactive who collaborated with SAE to make Autonomous Expedition possible!
