We are halfway through Cubic's summer internship programme ☀ and this week we would like to introduce you to Prasheek Kamble 🙌🏻 "Hey, I'm Prasheek! I am a master’s graduate in Cybersecurity with over 2+ years of experience. This is my first time working for a product-led company and it has been an amazing journey so far. In my first week, I was mainly assigned tasks like pen-testing of applications, drafting reports, and providing recommendations for mitigation strategies. I also got the chance to get my hands on cloud security, creating a resource to get more insights into the CI/CD Pipeline. The last few weeks of working in Cubic have been amazing. Every day is a new experience, and I can’t wait to learn more in the upcoming weeks!"

🔉Volkswagen Group has announced it will be integrating ChatGPT into its latest models to complement its IDA voice assistant. IDA already allows users to control the infotainment, navigation, and climate control systems, but the addition of ChatGPT takes this to a whole new level. Using natural language, drivers will be able to get information on a whole host of topics. Not only does it increase convenience for drivers, but it paves the way for more intuitive and interactive in-car experiences 🚗💡 Voice activation and audio cues are undoubtedly going to enhance the in-car experience, but these features need to work consistently, which is where connectivity comes in. The past few weeks have been great, as I have been getting to know and work with fellow “Cubicans”. In my first week, I attended team meetings, planning sessions, and seminars. Since then, I have learned about DevOps practices and tools like CI/CD Pipelines and Azure resources. In week two of "A week in the life of a Cubic Intern" we sat down with Liam McAleavey from Finance, here's what Liam had to say 👉🏻 "Hi, I’m Liam. I am the finance intern here at Cubic, specifically working with the FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) sector of the finance department. In my 1st week, I mainly worked with the team to understand the financial model, company products, opportunities & sources of revenue/costs. So far I have learned about the importance of micro (weekly/monthly) & macro (yearly & multi-year) planning which has been an invaluable experience. It has also been interesting to meet & understand all of the departments across Cubic and learn more about the working processes and the value they add to the company. For the rest of the summer, my main task will be to improve the layout, accuracy & clarity of the financial model. This has & will continue to require a lot of analysis, critical thinking & using all my financial skills to help as much as possible."
