Thank you for highlighting our participation in the first Women's America's Cup in Barcelona. It was an honour to compete alongside incredible teams like Athena Pathway, DutchSail, and Andoo Team Australia.
As the sails come down on 2024, it's impossible not to feel a little bit stoked about what the MUSTO team have achieved in the year. From Brest to Weymouth, Lorient to Paris, Barcelona to Les Sables-d'Olonne. We certainly did push the boat out. Some Highlights from the very busy year. ⛵ Launch of MPX Impact with Armel LE CLEAC'H and the ARKEA ULTIM CHALLENGE - Brest ⛵ Released Evening The Keel (ETK) with World Sailing on a four part docuseries spotlighting women in offshore sailing and focuses on the challenges of overcoming adversity to perform at a professional level in a predominantly male sport. Featuring Samantha Davies, Justine Mettraux , Rosalin Kuiper, Clarisse Crémer, Pamela Lee, Tracey Edwards and Anje-Marijcke Van Boxtel If you haven't seen it please do. You will find all four episodes on our Youtube page Thanks to Claire Boyd Scott Dougal Tom Roberts Lewis Smith for partnering with us. ⛵ Two Transats via the Big Apple (TEAM MALIZIA) ⛵ Another succesful trip to Lorient catching up with all the Team Musto Fam ⛵ Paris 2024 Olympics watching our Olympic hopefuls chase their dreams. Particularly inspiring to watch Odile van Aanholt and Annette Duetz get their Olympic Gold after al the hard work (Even if you did give us a scare😉) ⛵ From there is was off to Barcelona where we had four teams compete in the first Womens America's Cup (Athena Pathway, DutchSail, Sail Team BCN, Andoo Team Australia) AC40's fleet racing certainly put your heart in your mouth Away from the racing Kimberleigh Readman managed to get one of Ian Wright and the boys into some Musto gear and out on the water ⛵ Then to cap off a busy year we set ourselves the task of capturing 11 of our Vendée Globe sailors interviews over just two days. The biggest brand campaign of the event and the results of it speak for themselves. Shout out to Leila DeVito, Emmie Brown and Madeleine Trembath for making it all happen As it stands Charlie Dalin is in a tussle for first place off the coast of Brazil on their journey back to Les Sables-d'Olonne

Sail Team BCN reposted this

𝐁𝐖𝐀 𝐘𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐂𝐍 𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 Sail Team BCN has announced its intention to compete in the 38th edition of the America's Cup, building on their strong performance in the recent youth and inaugural women’s America’s Cup. The team reached the semifinals in both categories, finishing 6th in the youth competition and 3rd in the women’s event, despite being the only team without their own AC40 vessel! This success has motivated them to pursue a long-term program for future America’s Cup editions, aiming to further develop Spanish talent in both youth and women’s sailing. Silvia Mas, skipper of the women’s team, highlighted the achievements and potential of Sail Team BCN in the first-ever women’s America’s Cup. She emphasized the importance of a long-term commitment and increased resources in achieving future success. The team is currently focused on securing support and funding, including the purchase of an AC40 foiling monohull. BWA Yachting will continue to support the team by promoting and reinforcing the presence and excellence of women in the sport, fostering inclusion, and committing to bridging the experience gap in America’s Cup regattas. Our support will enable female athletes to upskill in the intricacies of modern foiling monohulls. #wespeakyourlanguage #americascup #women #inclusion #womeninsports
