We are pleased to announce that the Montenegrin government has officially passed the regulation reinstating duty-free fuel for yachts as of January 6th. This is a significant development for Montenegro’s yachting sector and reinforces its position as a key destination in the Adriatic region. Key details of the new regulation: ➡️ To qualify for duty-free fuel, yachts must spend a minimum of 72 hours in Montenegrin waters (not including the day of arrival). ➡️ This stipulation is outlined in the official text of the regulation and will be central to its implementation. Duty-free fuel will continue to be available at the following ports with existing fuel installations of the Port of Bar, Porto Montenegro, and Portonovi. By the end of next week, we expect clear operational guidelines from Customs, including procedures and an update on new pricing. We will share this information promptly to help the industry prepare and plan accordingly. This reinstatement is an exciting step forward, providing another reason for yachts to include Montenegro in their itineraries. Stay tuned for further updates!
