Meet Jeongwook Lee, our featured teammate from #WeAreSarcAcl! Growing up in Korea, Jeongwook dreamed about working at Samsung and contributing to its innovation efforts. Today, he’s making that dream a reality at SARC/ACL innovating in one of the most dynamic areas of hardware—GPU development. Jeongwook’s journey at SARC/ACL started in the Design Implementation team, and he is now a member of our Advanced Design Technology team. His team focuses on improving PPA (Power, Performance, and Area) for Samsung’s IPs like GPU, NPU, and SCI. He works on exploring methods to benchmark and optimize PPA through gate-level simulations and developing test chips for foundation IP and macro memories. As part of these efforts, we signed MOUs with local Korean agencies and government for water resource preservation in 2024: one to improve existing artificial wetlands and waterways, and another to supply 120,000 tons of reclaimed water per day to our Giheung and Hwaseong sites starting 2029.
