Come join our team.   The Grants Manager, Operations & Data will be responsible for managing the Foundation’s grants throughout the full grantmaking life cycle. Introducing our new brand identity and look Henry and Susan Samueli founded the Samueli Foundation in 1998 as the main expression of their philanthropy. Over their first 25 years as philanthropists, Henry and Susan gave away nearly $1 billion, supporting a wide range of organizations impacting Orange County, our nation, and abroad. In 2023, Henry and Susan decided to accelerate their giving over the next decade. To guide that work, the Samueli Foundation updated its mission, vision, and values and strategic identity to reflect its evolved philanthropic focus. Our mission is to make Orange County a thriving mosaic of community wellbeing by supporting and uniting catalytic forces whose innovations yield a higher quality of life for everyone. Our vision is well-being for all. Our core values are: ·       Integrity: We strive to do the right thing in the right ways driven by equity and excellence. ·       Gratitude: We live gratefully by creating opportunities for others to enrich their lives. ·       Empathy: We listen deeply and treat people with respect, understanding, and compassion. ·       Curiosity: We embrace lifelong learning and the power of knowledge sharing. ·       Creativity: We gravitate to bold, new ideas for tackling persistent problems. ·       Trust: We know that mutual trust is the heart of enduring, productive partnerships. We are proud to introduce a new visual identity -- in the form of a newly envisioned logo, color palette, and fonts -- to better reflect our refined direction.  Key components of the logo include: ·       The abstract orange mosaic pays homage to the place we love – Orange County – and the way we work by uniting people in pursuit of well-being for all. Our “whole” is most effective when all programmatic parts come together. ·       The six components of the logo represent our values - Integrity, Curiosity, Gratitude, Creativity, Empathy and Trust - and merge to form a six-pointed star at the center of our mark, recognizing the Samueli family’s Jewish heritage and inspiration for giving. ·       With a friendlier, more modern, and bolder presentation, the new logo positions us to serve as a galvanizing, unifying force for Orange County as well as the organizations and causes we support. Along with announcing our new brand logo and strategic identity, we are revamping our website. The new site will be launched in spring 2024. We look forward to collaborating with you this year.
