Balboa Park is more than just a park—it's a symbol of our community's heritage. Dive into the BCCA Balboa Park 2024 Community Progress Report to understand its vital role and the next steps we are taking to preserve its legacy: https://lnkd.in/gq6i-PG2

  • The La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians has found alternative ways to generate revenue and draw visitors. Instead of focusing on indoor gambling, they have invested in outdoor adventures such as ziplines, campgrounds, hiking trails, and a water park. These ecotourism initiatives help support the tribe's infrastructure and economic needs. The tribe's innovative approach has proven successful, and they are now partnering with Applied Adventure Consulting to manage their zipline course. This venture aligns with the growing adventure tourism market, and the tribe is confident in its future despite financial challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.
