Looking back at the ScaleNL visit to San Diego ☀🚀 Last Monday, #ScaleNL had the opportunity to visit San Diego and connect with key players from the startup ecosystem in a series of insightful meetings, hosted by Serhat Pala from Cross Ocean Ventures Exciting opportunities for collaboration were discussed, including ways to support Dutch entrepreneurs entering the San Diego market together with San Diego State University (SDSU) 🧠 Two developments the university is developing to look forward to include: ⚙️ The Mission Valley Innovation District; SDSUs initiative to build a 1.6 million square feet district offering office space that will fostering technology, research and innovation 🚀 Startup programming; examples include the ZIP Launch Pad program by SDSU and the Techstars San Diego powered by San Diego State University to further support entrepreneurs in San Diego under the leadership of Hala Madanat and Cathy Pucher. Our team also met with Tim Schwartz at UC San Diego, whom are also keen to support Dutch academic founders to tap into the San Diego ecosystem 🤝 🔥During our visit to San Diego, we also reconnected with Daan Weddepohl, founder of Peerby and alum from our ScaleNL Accelerator West Coast 2023 program!
