Congratulations to the Gregg House on the completion of demolition to make way for their new facility! Following the expansion of their nonprofit childcare services, this brand-new early learning center will help centralize their programs, from infant to kindergarten, supporting their 100+ year mission to provide healthy and educational services to families in the City of Lynn. We had a great time volunteering with the UMass Boston Urban Scholars program at the future site of Dorchester Bay City (formerly the Bayside Expo Center), a planned 19-acre mixed-use development by CV Properties, LLC and Accordia Partners, LLC. After a fun site scavenger hunt, Scalora Consulting Group shared insights about the various trades and careers these students could take advantage of in the design, engineering, and construction industry after college graduation. Special thanks to Haley & Aldrich for planning such a fun event!   The Urban Scholars program mission is to provide life-changing opportunities for committed high school students to build skills and live unique experiences. Congratulations to MetroWest YMCA on the grand opening of their new and improved Framingham playground for its early learning center! In support of their focus on building a healthy spirit, mind, and body, FUN was the priority of this project. Scalora Consulting Group worked hand-in-hand with the Y, studioMLA Architects, ADI Contracting, and DGT Associates to transform their existing playground into a larger play area promoting natural exploration. All new age-appropriate play structures, STEAM equipment, and a trike path are the trifecta for this successful completion. Scalora Consulting Group’s Nashville office had the pleasure of participating in Operation Commissary, an innovative program designed to assist Veterans currently experiencing food insecurity in Middle Tennessee. We packed food bags in their shipping warehouse in preparation for delivery to 56 Veterans with short-term food needs. We are proud to continue our longstanding relationship with RFK Community Alliance in support of their master plan expansion. Working with an amazing team including RFK, BLOCK Builders, Inc., and Tom Peterman Architects, Scalora Consulting Group is managing the renovations of two campus buildings. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to generously donate labor, materials, time, and expertise to assist our client, YMCA of Greater Boston, in preparing the North Woods & Pleasant Valley Camp in New Hampshire to receive overnight campers. 37 volunteers spent a combined 234 hours so thousands of campers and their families can enjoy a safer, more pleasant, and more engaging camp experience this year. Campers and counselors alike are currently enjoying the new GaGa ball pit, waterfront rails, improvements to stairs and storage areas for tennis and archery, along with freshly painted and power-washed buildings. TOGETHER, Scalora Consulting Group, YMCA of Greater Boston, Market Square Architects, Fulcrum, Vantage Builders, Inc., GenServ , AKF Group, HCMI, and Tighe & Bond made a difference by beautifying and preserving special places throughout the community to improve the lives of all those the Y serves.
