“An indispensable technology in the smart city will be digital twin technology.” 👉 This quote comes from a recent article published on the website of the Dutch Embassy in Korea. Currently, digital twin technology digitally implements solutions and then monitors the real world, but as the article shows, our technology goes farther and faster … up to 1000 times faster! 💨 Our next-generation technology predicts what will happen in the future – “what if” scenarios – using existing visualized digital information. Singapore has adopted #digitaltwin technology to monitor traffic flows, energy consumption and environmental conditions across the city. Amsterdam, San Diego and Breda are also implementing our #urbanstrategy platform. “Our digital twin technology is helping cities around the world make smart decisions about the future of urban development that will shape vibrant communities and take sustainability into account for the next generation,” says our CEO Jeroen Borst. 🌍 Where was our CCO and co-founder Bart Vuijk this week? Globetrotting from Mobile World Congress and 4YFN in Barcelona early this week and then on to the Intelligent Cities Challenge in Brussels. He was busy connecting with, well, everyone at 4YFN. He caught up with LUMO Labs’ Andy Lurling and Jorge Blasco. Together, they all celebrated with Fredrik Borgström, CEO of Skyfora, and closing a €4 million investment round this week. That was fun! 🥂 🏙️ Then he was off to Brussels for the final event at the Intelligent Cities Challenge. The City of Helmond and Capgemini invited Bart to ICC where it was a wealth of information and great networking. There were 88 cities from 26 European countries represented, so the knowledge sharing on sustainability and innovation was like a treasure chest. 🎤 The keynotes by Bonifacio Garcia Porras (DGGrow) and Natalia Martínez Páramo was especially timely. The key message? The EU will continue to support innovation in cities and regions through programs like the Intelligent Cities Challenge. That’s welcome news for us as we continue to roll out Urban Strategy, our platform that empowers cities to interactively build and evaluate "what if" scenarios, accelerating urban development, reducing traffic congestion and enhancing environmental quality and well-being. ⚡️ It was a high-energy, exciting week for Bart and great opportunities for him to meet many partners and cities at both events. 💨 It's been an action-packed week for Team Scenexus! Our CEO Jeroen Borst, and Founder & VP of North America, Peter van Oorschot, attended the Smart Region Summit at Arizona State University, focusing on AI and digital twin technology. It did not disappoint. 💡 Jeroen participated in a breakout session on #economicdevelopment, which focused on the application of digital twin technology to drive economic development in urban environments. Participants learned about how digital twins can enhance urban planning, strengthen economic modeling/analysis and foster community engagement to create sustainable economic growth. Leading the breakout session with Jeroen were Chris Camacho, Steven Hamilton II, Gary Haus and Diana M. Bowman. 🎤 Peter participated in a lively panel discussion on economic development, where he shared the story about Scenexus’ Urban Strategy platform and how digital twins empower cities to thrive.
