Enabling EV battery circular economy

About us

ScoutIt helps companies extract greater value from end-of-life batteries, allowing for an extension of their useful life through second-life applications. We enable car makers to monetize the sale of EoL batteries and avoid significant recycling costs. We facilitate EV battery repurposing companies in accessing EoL battery supply and finding end-users of the battery-based storage system. We allow energy companies to save money and cut carbon footprint using second-life battery-based storage systems. We oversee the entire process, connecting all stakeholders from car makers to end-users of the battery-based storage system. Our concept is based on minimizing the transport of batteries and associated costs to increase the profitability of all actors involved in the value chain. Our mission is to maximize the value extracted from end-of-life (EoL) batteries and enable a real and viable circular economy.

ScoutIt | EV Battery Circular Economy | Techstars '23

Honored to have ScoutIt awarded as one of the "Top Startups to Watch 2024" by GrepBeat last night! Being recognized as one of the breakout startups in the Triangle feels incredibly special to me. Coming here from another continent less than two years ago, with no connections and starting a new entrepreneurial journey from scratch, was anything but easy. Yet, the support I’ve received from other founders, operators in the tech ecosystem, and the broader entrepreneurial community has been genuine, real, and incomparable. I deeply want to thank everyone in this thriving region who has helped me and ScoutIt take our first steps and become part of this amazing ecosystem. I’m proud and happy to call the Triangle home!

😎 Let's talk about the future! I was invited to speak on the podcast "Future Optimist". A podcast about disruptive innovation, entrepreneurship, future problems, opportunities and visionary people tackling real world problems. If you're interested in these topics, check out Ross Palmer podcast, "Future Optimist". The list of guests is top-quality, from Nobel-grade researchers to... well, ehm... me! I feel humbled to be on the list! Ross and I talk about: 1. The reason why I left my dream job at Ferrari, to go create my own Startup 2. My startup, ScoutIt, the problems we solve, the reasons behind it and our vision 3. We try to debunk some myths about electric car batteries! Check it out, share it with those who might be interested 🚀🚀🚀 (Available at the link below on all audio platforms like Spotify, etc.) https://lnkd.in/diyB8Xr4

🚗 MOVE 2024 came to an end, what a great week in London! It really exceeded my expectations.🚗 ⚡ I was selected to pitch ScoutIt vision to a mobility-focused audience, founders and innovators of this industry. Explaining how there's endless opportunities in the rapidly growing market of end-of-life batteries is always exciting. It was a pleasure to talk with the jury panel, composed by Alexandra Renner from BMW, Adam Bazih from Stellantis Ventures and Phill Davies from Magway. 🔥 I've also had the chance to meet many amazing founders. happy to see that some of the best come from my country, Italy! 🚀 I fly back home from these events always with a stronger vision of what we can do and how we can really innovate and make a solid impact in this industry. Seeing other companies succeeding, including competitors, creating useful products that solve real issues is very inspiring. Thanks to Billie Osborn-Harrison for giving ScoutIt this chance, can't wait to be back next year!

The ScoutIt team was in Bologna for E-TECH EUROPE. Always a great opportunity to meet with great companies striving for a more sustainable future.

This week my Co-Founder Davide Giacobbe and I attended E-TECH EUROPE in Bologna! Here's my 4 key points for everyone to think about: 📢 Misinformation: There is still so much misinformation. The electrification topic is a weapon used by politicians to fuel their agenda, on both sides. Education is the base for a successful electric transition. People like Daniele Invernizzi are a prime example of real education, I highly suggest you to follow his work. 🔋 EV batteries are a resource: yes, mining for materials is impactful, so is oil extraction. The big difference is, battery materials are fully recyclable. Oil is "single-use". We often neglect the environmental impact of oil extraction, oil transport and refueling our vehicles, simply because we've been used to doing so since the early 1900s. 🍃 EU battery regulations are a massive opportunity for startups and entrepreneurs to be at the forefront of innovation. Regulations are always an amazing tailwind to have. I saw many italian SMEs and Startups working on Battery R&D (Novac, is a great reality from the Motor Valley), recycling, circular economy, electric powertrains and much more. It's going to be an interesting couple of years for young entrepreneurs. It's always great to network with Entrepreneurs from our industry, attend conferences about #Recycling , #Batteries and #CircularEconomy, and getting feedback on ScoutIt roadmap and product.
