Today, the ABC's State Policy Manager, Jonathan Harding, will be attending and testifying at the California Air Resources Board (CARB) hearing as the Board votes on the Proposed Low Carbon Fuel Standard Amendments. ABC strongly supports the adoption of these amendments, emphasizing the importance of moving forward without delay. Any further postponement in the rulemaking process weakens the signal needed to foster continued investment in clean fuels. A strong, clear policy is essential if California is to seize this critical opportunity for continued reductions in GHG emissions from transportation fuels.   Stay tuned in the comments for live updates throughout the day!

Three cheers for Community Edible Food Heroes! SCS Engineers is helping Montgomery County, Maryland, businesses become Community Edible Food Heroes by helping them understand their practices regarding excess edible food. The county’s edible food recovery study will assist Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection to encourage businesses to donate edible food to food rescue organizations to support adults and children who do not have access to nutritious foods. SCS is conducting surveys that quantify the amount of unused and edible foods across Montgomery County to inform future planning of edible food recovery programs.
