Adam Smith presented a paper on Liquid Time-Constant Neural Nets at last weeks SDx Paperclub. He talked about how this revolutionized prediction of time-series data (weather forecasting, robotic trajectories, etc). The group discussed the inner workings of the ODE solving activation functions and how the training and inference of the networks worked. Great time last week! Stay tuned for upcoming SDx events: https://lu.ma/sdx

SDx is a model every major metro should replicate to foster talent and stoke opportunity. Already 2 start-ups accepted at Y Combinator. Great things happen when strong leaders with a clear mission gather talented, smart, and humble individuals. Kudos to Chad Lohrli and crew.
Linkd is now backed by Y Combinator! We're actively building out new ways to connect people through experiences, starting with alumni networks. We will prioritize schools on our waitlist https://linkd.inc/ (takes ~10 seconds). > Hit me up if people search and recommendation algorithms on a global scale, interests you. > Hit me up if you are confident you can help make Linkd go viral across college campuses. > Hit me up if your company wants to integrate the world's smart search/match-making for people, we are taking enterprise contracts. I will live in your office until semantic search is deployed. A new way to search is here.

Congrats Tom Zheng, great way to lead by example! This is the power of building a highly curated, highly cracked community of AI Engineers both at the academic and community level. It's happening, right here in SD. Let's go SDx & SDx at UC San Diego!
