Yesterday, we came together as a community to honor the heroes of September 11 through a meaningful day of service. Volunteers worked side by side, building hope and homes for those in need, reflecting the unity and resilience that defines us. As we remember the bravery of first responders and the lives lost, we continue their legacy by giving back and strengthening our community. Thank you to ABC4 Charleston for featuring this special day of service: https://lnkd.in/eRJaxAcm #NeverForget #DayOfService #HonorOurHeroes #CommunityStrong #Americorps #911dayofservice #seaislandhabitat #habitatforhumanity

In partnership with Charleston County Government's Charleston Homes Program, Sea Island Habitat for Humanity will bring new life to this lot on Johns Island with a new affordable home for a local Johns Island resident. We feel so fortunate to be granted one of these properties and to have the support of Charleston County to further our mission of making sure everyone has a safe, affordable place to live. Big thank you to Councilmember Joe Boykin and Deputy Council Administrator Christine DuRant for helping us break ground and for always being supportive of our work!

As we conclude our fiscal year, we are thrilled to celebrate the milestone of closing on six affordable homes in Charleston county. Homeownership for a Habitat homeowner means stability, security, and a foundation for future growth. This achievement is a testament to the countless hours of dedication from our volunteers, the outstanding leadership of our staff, and the unwavering support of our donors across the Lowcountry. Thank you for making this possible! #seaislandhabitat #habitatforhumanity #homeownershipmonth #homeownership #affordablehousing
