Detail shots of our recent private observatory construction project in California 📹 The team installed an observatory management system including a weather station, all-sky camera, computer, and power distribution units that enable the observatory to be capable of autonomous operation. When used in autonomous operation mode the observatory remotely opens the dome under safe conditions, images astronomical objects, and safely closes the dome if inclement weather approaches. A recent upgrade to the dome at Fayetteville State University was completed by our team! 🔭 Located in North Carolina, this academic observatory underwent a significant upgrade to enhance its capabilities for both research and student use. The previous circa-1970s dome was replaced with a new Ash Manufacturing 16’-6” Ash-Dome equipped with an automated dome control system. For more on this project ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gdqRfHr4
