Changelog Friday! 🎉 This week, we’re excited to announce new thermostat temperature range threshold monitoring in our thermostats API. If a thermostat reports a temperature outside a threshold range that you specify, Seam alerts you with an event. We also introduced a device.added event to indicate when a device is added to Seam, and we enhanced the thermostat.manually_adjusted event to report the method. Changelog Friday! 🎉 This week, we are excited to announce support for new lock.unlocked, lock.locked, and lock.access_denied events for igloo devices, complete with the unlock and lock method values. These events help you to monitor your Igloohome locks more effectively in real time. We also squashed a few thermostat bugs in the Seam Console and in the Seam API. Changelog Friday! 🎉 This week, we’re excited to announce our new simulate feature in the Seam sandbox. It enables you to trigger events on sandbox devices—like device disconnection or removal—that are otherwise difficult to simulate in the real world. We also added two new thermostat events (manually adjusted, climate preset activated), and you can now create and manage climate presets and schedules in the Seam Console. Changelog Friday! 🎉 Mac lovers, this week, we’re excited to announce that you can now brew install the Seam CLI on your Mac! Quick, intuitive, and easy to use, the Seam CLI is a great way to explore and test the Seam API. Simply run `brew install seam` to get started. We’re also continuing to refine our new thermostats API, we’ve sped up reporting of August and Yale (North America) device name changes, and we’ve corrected a few access code and capabilities reporting issues. This week, we’re excited to continue our new SDK releases with the official announcement of our new Python SDK! 🎉 🐍 Like the new Seam JavaScript SDK we released last week, the new Python SDK is generated daily to ensure that methods and types are always up-to-date with the latest API changes. Elsewhere, we've released brand new event filters in the Seam Console, added new sandbox accounts for August-Yale devices, and introduced extended log retention. See the full Changelog here: https://lnkd.in/g_pav9sJ

This week, we’re excited to announce the official rollout of our new JavaScript SDK! The new SDK has a smaller bundle size and fewer dependencies, and it is auto-generated on a daily basis to ensure that methods and types are always up-to-date with the latest API changes. Written entirely in TypeScript, this SDK works both on the server and in the browser, powering the Seam Console, Seam Components, Seam CLI, and more. You can install this new SDK using "npm i seam".  We've also released a number of changes and fixes, including a new preferred_code_length parameter when creating access codes, support for additional August-Yale events around name changes, and a couple of fixes for Igloohome and SmartThings-connected devices.
