Today we would like to recognize Carmen, an extraordinary Sears Store Manager leading our Sears El Paso location. Carmen’s journey with Sears began in 1990, where she started as a Sales Coordinator. Carmen quickly advanced her career and became a Store Manager in 2015.  What makes Carmen truly special? It’s her unwavering commitment to her associates, her keen eye for recognition, and her belief in the power of teamwork. These values have shaped her remarkable leadership style, making her an inspiration to everyone around her. Throughout the year, Carmen orchestrates multiple associate appreciation events, celebrating the tireless efforts of her team. But it doesn’t stop there—she actively listens to their ideas and input, recognizing that collaboration fuels success. Carmen’s dedication to keeping the team engaged and supported is nothing short of remarkable.   To Carmen, her associates aren’t just colleagues; they’re an extension of her own family. Their triumphs are her triumphs, and their well-being is her priority.    “As a leader of others, I know that in order for me to be successful, I must focus on building a strong team, I'm no one without a team and I'm pretty vocal about it. My team knows that I'm as good as they are. It all starts at the point of interview, where I take the time to do a good interview and explain the expectations and how I like to win. A well-trained and developed associate will always do good, but if associate feels appreciated the results will be even better. Earn your team's trust by always training, developing, challenging the team and follow up. Show daily appreciation for a job well done, take the time to speak to every associate every day and ask how are they doing. By doing so, you build a strong relationship and at times you learn what they their interests or hobbies are, and they feel important when you ask.
