A note on the attached release from Les Buday - Managing Director | CMMC + Federal Compliance "The official 'CMMC Program Rule' is now FINAL and will be effective as of December 16, 2024. This represents an earlier effective date than previously forecasted.   Still in process (i.e., under review) is the “CMMC Acquisition Rule”, which will enable DoD Acquisitions to start applying the CMMC Program Rule into solicitations. That application will come via DFARS Clause 252.204-7021, Contractor Compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level Requirement. This rule is still targeted for release in Q2/Q3 2025.   In the meantime, DIB contractors wanting to get assessed (commonly referred to as Organizations Seeking Assessment or OSAs) can now (in December) officially start engaging C3PAOs for CMMC Certification aligned to the Final Rule." #CMMC #FinalRule #OSA
